For Lysette, design becomes meaningful when architects are deeply attentive to the needs and goals of the communities and stakeholders they serve. She believes that everyone deserves safe, comfortable, and dignified spaces no matter their background. 

Lysette is a Design Director at the Africa Studio. When she joined MASS in 2015, Lysette participated in the concept and schematic design phases of the Gitwe Teaching Hospital and contributed to the operations and development of the Kigali office. She has since worked on multiple educational and healthcare projects including the African Leadership University Campus, Munini District Hospital, and Nyarugenge District Hospital in Rwanda, as well as Praava Health and the Samajik Health Science Institute & Research Centre.

More recently, Lysette led the design of Integrate Health’s Green Center, an environmentally sustainable training center for primary healthcare experts that supports the delivery of improved health outcomes and strengthens the national healthcare system in Northern Togo. 

She received her Bachelor of Science and Architectural Studies at UCSI, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
