Louise B. Miller Pathways and Gardens

The Washington State School for the Blind’s Life Skills Training Center, viewed from the outside across the street. The exterior materials balance residential character with durability and sustainability, and the scaling and stepping of building volumes creates opportunities for passive window shading and covered outdoor porches, contributing to a welcoming presence from the street.
