Inspired by how people reach beyond themselves to pursue what is just and excellent, Martine believes in making architecture that promotes dignity and is accessible to all communities.

At MASS Design Group’s Africa Studio, Martine co-leads the Learning and Entrepreneurship focus area. In her role as a Senior Project Manager, Martine has overseen quantity surveying and construction services for multiple design projects across Rwanda, including the African Leadership University campuses, the Norrsken Kigali House, the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, the Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture, and the Western Serengeti Research Facility in Tanzania. She is also a member of the MASS.Build and MASS Project Management team, working to invest in the local construction industry while assisting our partners in delivering projects that support communities and maximize value throughout the supply chain.

A graduate of FRESH Speakers, Martine supports ASPIRE Debate Rwanda as a public speaking and debate trainer. She also serves as a mentor for IMBUTO Foundation. 

Before joining MASS in 2018, Martine worked as a quantity surveyor at Cableline Ltd., an architecture and building services company. She holds a Master in Construction Project Management from Nottingham Trent University; received a Bachelor in Quantity Surveying from the University of Rwanda; and is a leading member of the Rwanda Quantity Surveying Institute.
