Christelle Muhimpundu

Christelle Muhimpundu is passionate about empowering makers to create a sustainable world. Since joining MASS in 2017, she has contributed to the interior design of several projects, including the UGHE Office Expansion, the African Leadership University (Kigali Heights), and the Oncology Support Center in Butaro.
In her current position of Senior Designer, Christelle leads the MASS.Made team from concept design to project execution and installation while maintaining close relationships with clients and local makers. For the last 5 years, she has worked on successfully delivering the interiors of several major MASS Projects such as the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund (Rwanda), the Norrsken Kigali House (Rwanda), the Lagos Infectious Disease Research Institute (Nigeria), and the Children Services of Roxbury (United States).
Christelle believes that women play a great role in shaping the world we live in and so she works with the women at MASS to mentor young female students in design, engineering, and construction.
Christelle graduated with a Master of Fine Art in Interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design, where her thesis focused on the redesign of the Gakinjiro furniture market as a makerspace in Kigali.
